Kimberly Blake, MD FACOG
Dr. Blake has been caring for women in the Burlington area since 1994. She enjoys taking care of women through all stages of their lives. She particularly enjoys caring for women during normal or complicated pregnancies. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, Phi Beta Kappa, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Blake is active in our community. She serves as an advisor to the Maternal Child Health Coalitions for Vermont’s Department of Health and Visiting Nurses Association. She is committed to the education of the next generation of obstetrician/gynecologists, serving on the University of Vermont’s Residency Education Committee. She enjoys helping them become the best doctors they can be.
Originally from western New York, she graduated from SUNY/Buffalo summa cum laude. She graduated from SUNY/Buffalo School of Medicine magna cum laude. Her residency training was at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Blake was honored as the Teaching Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Blake resides in South Burlington with her husband, Tim. They have two sons and a standard poodle.
Patrick Clifford, MD FACOG
Dr. Clifford graduated AOA from University of Vermont Medical School and completed his residency here. He founded this practice in 1989 and worked solo for many years before deciding to grow it.
Dr. Clifford’s clinical interest, besides obstetrics, is minimally invasive surgery. He is one of just a handful of gynecologists in Vermont trained in the DaVinci Robotic system and continues to have excellent results with the robot as well as other minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat complicated clinical situations.
Dr. Clifford enjoys teaching medical students and residents from both the departments of OB/Gyn and Family Medicine and has won many teaching awards throughout the years. He serves on the Women’s Quality Assurance committee at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Dr. Clifford stays active by skiing and mountain biking. He loves spending time with his six children and their families.
Greta Hanson, MD FACOG
Dr. Hanson joined Affiliates in OB/Gyn in 2008 and enjoys the variety of care she provides women as an obstetrician/gynecologist. She enjoys meeting women where they are in life and helping them achieve personalized healthcare goals. Her clinical interests include the full scope of obstetrics as well as contraception, international women’s health, infertility, and gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Hanson graduated from Oberlin College and did her premedical coursework at Harvard University’s Extension School. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College and came to Vermont for residency after she found physicians here still liked the practice of obstetrics. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Clinical Instructor at UVM Medical School teaching both medical students and residents.
Dr. Hanson understood caring for pregnant women, she was witnessing the birth of a family. However, becoming a mom made her FULLY realize what it meant to be an obstetrician. It was then she appreciated it as the start of the roller coaster ride also known as parenting.
Dr. Hanson is a native Californian who now calls Vermont home. She lives here with her husband, Bill and their two young children. She enjoys the life this area offers in outdoor adventures as well as its abundance of good local food and music.
Dale LaCroix, MD FACOG
Dr. LaCroix graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. She then worked just outside of Boston, but having grown up locally she wanted to return to Vermont to raise her two girls. She returned to Vermont and joined Affiliates in Ob/Gyn in 2000.
Dr. LaCroix enjoys providing the full spectrum care for women through all stages of life with a special interest in infertility, minimally invasive surgery, adolescence and obstetrics. She is active in graduate medical education as a Clinical Instructor at the UVM College of Medicine and teaches residents in both the Departments of OB/Gyn and Family Medicine.
Dr. LaCroix serves on the UVMMC Labor and Delivery Operations Committee. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. LaCroix lives in Williston with her husband, John. She has two grown daughters, the youngest of whom has just finished college. She stays active snowshoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer so she can keep doing something else she loves, baking.
Suzanne Scharf, WHNP-BC
Ms. Scharf is a native Vermonter. She grew up on a dairy farm in Saxtons River where her family still lives. She has been a part of the Affiliates team since 1989 and considers providing health care to women of all ages a privilege and incredibly rewarding work. She has particular interest in contraception, adolescent gynecology, prenatal care, and infectious disease in gynecology.
Ms. Scharf is committed to educating future nurses and nurse practitioners. She often serves as a preceptor to them in our office. She loves seeing our own staff advance their careers and has been asked more than once to pin a new nurse at their graduation.
Ms. Scharf lives in South Burlington with her husband, Phil and loves being a stepmother and grandmother. She enjoys all Vermont offers but also loves to travel. She has been to Africa, China, Costa Rica, and Egypt within the past few years.
Lia Wrenn, MD
Dr. Wrenn is the newest member of the Affiliates provider team! She enjoys caring from women throughout all stages of life with special interests in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, infertility, contraception and full spectrum obstetric care.
Dr. Wrenn graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with high honors in Human Nutrition. She attended Loyola University Chicago and received her Masters in Medical Sciences. She went on to receive her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She came to Vermont and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont in 2017.
Dr. Wrenn is a native Chicagoan who has fallen in love with the state of Vermont. She lives here with her husband, Sean and their rat terrier, Gnarls. In her free time, she loves to run, hike, bike, and do yoga. She and her husband also enjoy traveling, and are always looking for recommendations on new places to explore. Dr. Wrenn is fluent in Greek and has a basic working knowledge of Spanish.
